Campbell River Chapter Information

• The Campbell River Chapter is a 100% volunteer group. It is not affiliated with any other agencies or government funded, nor is it the ‘Heart and Stroke Foundation’ (A good organization but with a different mandate).

• Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month except for June, July, August and December.

• Phone or e-mail a contact person for times and location of the meetings.

  FUNDRAISING

• Campbell River’s ‘Walk for Hearts’, our only fundraiser, is held on the first Sunday in May.

• The Campbell River First Open Heart Society Chapter has donated over $411,480.00 for cardiac equipment and cardiac training.

• All funds stay in Campbell River, to provide:

  • support for local cardiac patients and their families, and

  • provide Cardiac Equipment and Cardiac Care Courses for Nurses and Technicians at the Campbell River Hospital and other Campbell River Area Organizations.

  • Latest Donation $13,000.00 to the Campbell River Hospital for a Gem Blood Analyzer.
